While there is a possibility that the IPO could be postponed until early December, current indications suggest a launch in mid-November.

Formerly held the title for the largest IPO, Space Exploration Technologies debuted in June at a price of $135 per share, garnering a valuation of $1.77 trillion. Initially, expectations for Anthropic's IPO included a valuation potentially reaching $2 trillion. However, recent market volatility and concerns about valuations within the artificial intelligence industry have led analysts to project a more conservative debut valuation of approximately $1.5 trillion, with some estimates as low as $1.2 trillion.
According to a draft of the company's IPO prospectus, Anthropic reported sales of about $16.3 billion in the first half of this year, a substantial increase from $1.1 billion during the same period last year. This growth is attributed to rising demand for its Claude AI software suite, which offers advanced tools for various applications. Despite this growth, the company also faced a significant loss of around $80.7 billion in the same timeframe.
In the third quarter, reports indicated that sales rose by 45% compared to the previous quarter, reaching $16.8 billion. Although this is a remarkable growth rate, analysts had anticipated a stronger performance given the momentum established earlier in the year.
While Anthropic may not surpass SpaceX in IPO size, a successful public debut next month appears likely. The capital raised from the IPO could provide crucial funding for the company's rapid scaling and increasing operational demands.
