The fair, organized by the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of the Macao SAR, runs from October 21 to 24. It featured prominent attendees including Joao Moura, the Secretary of State for Agriculture of Portugal.

Under the theme "Macao: the Global Hub of Business Convergence," the fair is being held alongside the 2026 Portuguese-Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition and the Macao Franchise Expo 2026. Together, the three events cover an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters and have drawn exhibitors and buyers from over 50 countries and regions.

Ng Wai Han, Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao SAR Government, noted that this year's fair highlights new initiatives aimed at enhancing global connectivity and industry matching. For the first time, a "Spanish-Speaking Countries Industry Pavilion" has been established to strengthen trade ties with these nations.

Ng also pointed out that the fair showcases diverse industries, products, and services from nine Portuguese-speaking countries, focusing on areas such as cross-border e-commerce, agricultural cooperation, and the blue economy. She emphasized that China's 15th Five-Year Plan offers significant opportunities for Macao to further international economic cooperation.

Lucas Chachine, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique, remarked that Macao is well-positioned to serve as a platform for accessing both Chinese markets and other global opportunities.
