Reports surfaced indicating that access to the previous mobile app was terminated, leaving many unable to download the new version. Additionally, customers experienced challenges in reaching customer service for assistance.
A KEMBA spokesperson clarified, "As part of the planned conversion, access to our previous mobile banking app was retired when the enhanced platform was launched. We are not aware of any issues preventing members from downloading the new app."
KEMBA noted that they had informed members several times ahead of the switch but acknowledged increased wait times for customer service as a result of the transition.
"Members continue to have full access to accounts during this time, and funds are safe and secure," the spokesperson added. "We appreciate our members’ patience during this transition and are focused on helping those who may need assistance with accessing and navigating the new digital banking experience."
The new app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play. An FAQ section has also been made available on the credit union's website to assist members with the new system.
