As businesses increasingly seek modern payment options, they are willing to switch banks for better functionality. Research from Datos Insights indicates that 50% of community bank customers may consider moving to different financial institutions within two years, primarily due to superior service rather than cost. This trend poses a risk for community banks in retaining deposits and fee revenues.
The study also revealed that a major complaint among community bank clients is the struggle to manage multiple non-communicating systems. To address this issue, the CSI suite aims to provide comprehensive cash management solutions that enhance how businesses manage and transfer funds.
Gilles Ubaghs from Datos Insights noted that businesses often outgrow basic cash management solutions before they outgrow their banking relationship. Banks that can provide integrated capabilities are more likely to retain these key commercial clients.
Initially, the CSI Commercial Suite will focus on sectors where community banks already have established relationships, such as homeowners associations, property management firms, law offices, and title companies. The suite will also offer cash management and liquidity options that support multi-entity treasury operations and real-time visibility into balances.
Key features of the suite include:
- Real-time ledgering and virtual account management for tracking funds by various categories.
- Multi-rail payment options across ACH, wire, and card payments.
- Comprehensive commercial card offerings including debit, prepaid, and virtual cards.
- Integrated digital banking and treasury tools with customizable dashboards.
- Embedded banking via API connections to specific industry ERP systems.
- Automated reporting and reconciliation to streamline operations.
- Enhanced operational controls including audit trails and activity monitoring.
This launch follows CSI’s acquisition of payments infrastructure provider Qolo in July 2026, which will integrate into the Commercial Suite to enhance payment orchestration capabilities. Harmony Bank, based in Northeast Texas, is among the first institutions to adopt this suite, particularly focusing on services for community associations and property managers.
Kara Fox from Harmony Bank emphasized the need for relationship banking tailored to complex client needs, particularly in managing associations and community banking.
CSI plans to roll out the Commercial Suite gradually, starting in Q2 of 2027, with an introductory webinar scheduled for September 22, 2026, to provide further information.
