Organized by the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD), FITCE aims to unite entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders for two days focused on international networking, trade development, and cultural exchange. This year's program includes a tour of the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation, a facility that offers business incubation, coworking spaces, and professional development opportunities.
Participants can also engage in a water taxi cruise to learn about Broward County’s marine industry and blue economy. Tours of Port Everglades and Foreign-Trade Zone 25 will provide insights into the county’s international trade infrastructure.
The World Leaders Keynote Luncheon is scheduled for November 18, while the following day will feature the Broward Cultural Division's fourth annual State of the Arts Address, which will address developments and opportunities in the local arts and cultural sector.
Broward County Mayor Mark D. Bogen emphasized the significance of FITCE, stating, "We’re connecting businesses with the people and opportunities that can help them grow beyond our borders." Attendees will have the chance to meet international buyers, explore emerging markets, participate in one-on-one matchmaking sessions, and browse products and services at the World Expo Marketplace.
Panels will discuss various topics, including international trade, technology, economic development, and the arts. Maribel Feliciano, OESBD director, noted that FITCE provides valuable resources for businesses, whether they are new to exports or looking to expand into new markets.
FITCE is organized by OESBD, which is a service of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
