As part of this transformation, the bank is modernizing its technology infrastructure, transitioning to cloud-based platforms that streamline operations, boost innovation, and lay the groundwork for integrating emerging technologies like artificial intelligence into new offerings.
The “Digital Upgrade” initiative has launched a unified online and mobile banking platform utilizing Google Cloud Platform for the bank's Deutsche Bank, Postbank, and Norisbank brands in Germany. This initiative enables approximately 19 million clients to benefit from a modern and efficient technological foundation. The phased rollout concluded successfully in August 2025.
Christian Rhino expressed that the award is a collective achievement, stating that the collaboration among colleagues from the Private Bank, Technology, and Infrastructure sectors was crucial in establishing this modern digital foundation, which enhances banking experiences for clients.
